Ylläolevaan taulukkoon ei olla lisätty hätä-, pika- ja turvallisuusliikenteessä käytettäviä sanontoja, kuten esim. Mayday:tä, koska ne selitetään tarkemmin myöhemmissä osioissa.

Yllä olevassa laatikossa on esimerkki keskustelusta Spinakerin ja Auroran välillä, missä on käytetty paljon toimintasanoja. Numeroiden merkitys lauseessa "I READ YOU 3 BY 5" tarkoittaa: 1-huono kuuluvuus, 2-heikko, 3-kohtalainen, 4-hyvä, 5-loistava.
