- Unnecessary transmissions are prohibited.
- What is generally understood to be obscenity or profanity is prohibited.
- The interruption of another transmission should only be for a higher priority message.
- Radio transmissions are governed by laws of secrecy, and all transmissions should be treated as confidential unless they are by their nature general: for instance, weather broadcasts, distress transmissions, SAR transmissions…
- Transmission of false or misleading messages of any kind should be avoided.
- Calls must not be made without identification.
