People like this make me crazy. If she was So Terrified of being a wife, then why on Earth did she bother getting married? Hey, here is another (not new) concept for her, Live together in a committed relationship without getting married! Then she wouldn’t have to read into getting aprons for Christmas presents.

On a related note, two of my pet peeves are the terms “hubby” and “wifey.” Ewwww!
@Calli: That’s exactly what I thought, too. By giving the words power, even in her own mind, she’s stereotyping the very thing she claims to be revolutionaizing.
I saw the original article somewhere and I think it’s completely ridiculous, but I do agree that there are negative (and positive) connotations to the words wife and husband. I’ve never liked the words, but I have never really liked marriage anyways. And I don’t think they should be changed. But people’s perceptions of them do, which has been happening for a long time already.
