Procedure words or prowords are words or phrases limited to RT (radio telephone) procedure used to facilitate communication by conveying information in a condensed standard form.
To the table above were not added Distress, Urgency and Safety procedure words, for example Mayday, as their usage is explained in details in following chapters.

An example of conversation between Spinaker and Aurora where several procedure words are used - they are written in upper case. Numbers in procedure word "I READ YOU 3 BY 5" have the following meaning: 1-bad, 2-poor, 3-fair, 4-good, 5-excellent.
